About Mauch Chunk Trust
Mauch Chunk Trust Company was incorporated August 25, 1902 as the successor institution to the Second National Bank of Mauch Chunk, established in 1864. We remain a locally owned and managed independent community bank. While many banks of our type have merged or simply disappeared, our ability to change with the times has allowed us to grow and prosper for over 117 years.
You’ll still find us today in the heart of Jim Thorpe with our main office located at 1111 North Street. Our seven branches serve Jim Thorpe, Albrightsville, Nesquehoning, Lehighton, Hometown and West Penn. In fact, one branch sits right across the street from our original headquarters, the Navigation Building: the old railroad station on the corner of Broadway and Susquehanna Streets in downtown Jim Thorpe.
The secret to our success is simple. We’re not merely bankers, we’re your neighbors. We live in the same communities that we serve, we share your interests. We’re equally affected by the decisions we make. What’s good for you is good for us, too.
In fact, our reputation was built through more than 117 years of community involvement. You’re as likely to find us with rolled-up sleeves digging into a community project as you are sitting behind our desks.
Serving your financial needs is our business. Serving your communities is our privilege.
We will be the leading independent provider of community banking services to the families, businesses, and organizations in the communities we serve.
The mission of the Mauch Chunk Trust Company is to deliver convenient, personalized community banking services to help our customers become financially successful and to earn an attractive return on investment for our shareholders and staff.
