About Us

Community Involvement

Neighbors you know, bankers you trust.

Since 1902, the Mauch Chunk Trust Company has been giving back to local communities with more than just financial contributions. We have an unyielding commitment to strengthening neighborhoods, improving education and encouraging volunteerism in the communities in which we operate. This vision of shared success is a responsibility that we take very seriously and we recognize our role as a local resource to help make a real difference.

Volunteer!

Each year, through our Community Hero Program, we honor four - six individuals who have displayed outstanding service to their community by devoting a substantial amount of time to non-profit and/or charitable organizations. These heroes are honored at an annual banquet and receive an award from MCT, citations from both the State Representative and State Senators, and $100 is donated by the bank to the organization/charity of their choosing.  Proudly announcing our 2011 Community Heroes!

Strengthening Neighborhoods

By strengthening the fabric of our communities we help them to seize today's opportunities and to meet the demands of an uncertain future. At Mauch Chunk Trust Company, our commitment is to bettering the quality of life for our customers and our communities. The Robert B. Conner Private Foundation helps the poor and needy residents of the Borough of Mauch Chunk (now Jim Thorpe) with assistance in defraying the costs of fuel and medical expenses. Additionally, our support of numerous area charitable organizations can be seen on youth sports uniforms, theater programs and at many other community events. Looking beyond the financial contributions, Mauch Chunk Trust Company is the sole sponsor of the annual fireworks display at the Jim Thorpe Stay at Home Festival in July. The spectacular display is free of charge and enjoyed by hundreds of festival attendees.

Education

At Mauch Chunk Trust Company we realize that our legacy is today's youth who will soon be tomorrow's leaders. The Anna Marie Helbing Nursing Education Foundation gives scholarships to local students pursuing a nursing education. In addition, MCT also administers several other scholarships that are awarded to local graduating high school seniors on an annual basis. We are confident that the financial support given to these dedicated students is repaid many times over through the service they will provide to their communities throughout their professional lives.

At Mauch Chunk Trust Company, we pride ourselves in being more than just the local bankers ... we are your neighbors.
