Community Involvement

"Neighbors you know, bankers you trust." ®

It takes more than money to support local our communities, it takes commitment. Our dedication to strengthening neighborhoods is exhibited through the wide variety of programs we sponsor to improve education, encourage volunteerism, and support charitable giving.

Volunteer!

MCT's annual Community Hero Program honors four individuals each year who have displayed outstanding service to their community, as selected by a volunteer committee. Do you know someone who devotes an extraordinary amount of time to a non-profit and/or charitable organization? Please share the story of their generosity with the rest of the community, and nominate them below!

These heroes are announced and invited to attend our annual MCT Community Appreciation Day (Friday prior to Memorial Day Weekend) where they receive an award from MCT, citations from both the State Representative and State Senators, and a $200 donation to the organization/charity of their choice. An additional award celebration will take place in mid-June for the newly selected Heroes, their families/friends and past Heroes.

Do you know someone who devotes an extraordinary amount of time to a non-profit and/or charitable organization? Each year, we ask you to share stories of their generosity with the rest of the community. Visit our Community Heroes page for nomination instructions!

Strengthening Neighborhoods

Mauch Chunk Trust firmly believes in facing the challenges in our communities in unique and innovative ways. With our support of sports programs, the arts, and many other charitable causes, MCT further strengthens the fabric of our communities. Through the Robert B. Conner Private Foundation, MCT provides assistance toward fuel and medical expenses for the most disadvantaged residents of the Borough of Jim Thorpe. For information on how you can help your community, stop in to any local MCT Office.

The financial support we provide our students today will be re-invested in our communities in the future. At MCT we’re not just bankers … we’re your neighbors!
